So this is going to be 'All Over the Place' due to my neglegence toward the blog. First of all, Luca is fifteen weeks, as of yesterday, and he is getting bigger every day. Right now Luca is taking over Max's beastly stature. He has the following of Max's features: the entire body, the hair, the dimples, and the lips. You ask what does the baby have of yours, Kelly? Well, he doesn't have much. He has the color of my eyes and my nose. That poor kid...he has his mom's little piggy nose. The kid is just a beast physically. He may not look big in the pictures, but when you see him in person...holy cow! He's huge! He eats like a normal 3 1/2 month old, which is 6 ounces every 4 - 41/2 hours. So lord, what happens when I start feeding him cereal and baby food? His thighs are twice the size of mine. Anyways, I love that he is big; there is just more for me to love then.
My sister, Rhianna, and I went shopping and got the baby this onesie that has The Godfather printed on the front. I thought it was a perfect fit because every person that I run into asks "What's your sons name?", and I obviously say, "Luca", and they reply with "Luca Brasi sleeps with the fish," which is from The Godfather. It's not like that saying is even a positive one because they end up whacking Luca in the movie. My little ten year old cousin, Anthony (pictures below), whom I watched today, even quotes that phrase. To make a long story short it was ironic that Buy Buy Baby (my favorite baby store) had a onesie like that to purchase. Not to jump around, but they also have American Idol onesies available as well, which I didn't start watching until this year for the first time. I'm voting for two people: Crystal Bowersox (a.k.a. Poosh Bowersox) and Lee Dewyze (he's from Chicago). Also on the reality kick, I'm voting for Evan Lysechek (spelling?) and Erin Andrews from Dancing With the Stars.

3 Months...1st Milestone
Wednesday, April 14, 2010
Luca is three months old, and time has definitely gone by fast. He is growing and getting so big. Max and I think he is around 14 pounds. Funny story: Max and I wanted to see how much he weighed, so we kept putting him on the scale to see, which, by the way, he was not very happy about. The scale kept reading error, probably because he was too light. Anyways, we thought, oh well we'll just wait until his doctor appointment and see. My dad offered the suggestion of Max weighing himself first and then weighing himself and the baby together to see the difference in weight. DUH! Why didn't we think of that? I will blame it on the lack of sleep on my part, and I don't know what Max will blame it on. Anyways, he is now in 3-6 month clothing, and he won't be in it for that much longer due to his monster size. He definitely takes after Max in the size department. He's showing off his 'guns' in his cut-off onsie in the picture below. It's crazy how one minute Luca can go from smiling and laughing to pouting and crying. It's like what happened in that split second that triggered the bad mood. I know in one of the pictures I'm torturing him with a big monster stuffed animal that my brother got him, but that can't be it.

11 Weeks...3 Month Countdown
Thursday, April 1, 2010
I know that I keep posting his weekly birthday pictures, but I will stop doing the weeks and start doing the months. I just wanted to do this for the first three months, because I feel like he grew so fast. I cherish every moment that I get to spend with him because he is getting bigger, which is 'bitter sweet'. I love the whole newborn months and definitely miss the newborn little itty bitty clothing, but I am ready to see him grow and learn new things. I did, and I know it sounds ambitious, take him to see the Easter Bunny. I debated this back and forth because he was still too little, but in the end, I gave in and took him. My theory is: (and this may sound really hormonal) But what if I only get one chance to experience all these things? What if God only blessed me with one? If that is the case, I want to take every opportunity to make the most out of these memories and do as much as possible with him. So, below this entry you will see how cute my little bambino looks with the Easter Bunny.
